Review on Kuragehime

Image
This anime is a 12-episode anime produced by FUNimation Entertainment, Brains Base, Asmik Ace Entertainment. Kuragehime's storyline revolves around the daily life of Kurashita Tsukimi, a girl who loves jellyfish, living together with her geek friends at Amamizukan apartment complex wherein no boys are allowed. This anime's characters are kind who show their beauty not with their good looks but with what they really are, and how they love the way they look and become true to what they really love. The story lines are pretty cool for this anime going out in different directions and a t once point keep intersecting with one another. Kuragehime's characters are rather unique from the typical anime style drawing that we are used to some example are the afro-styled girl in the apartment. Kuragehime's characters, and the awesome storym and the simple but pretty art and the enticing music come together and create an anime that stands out among others of its kind. ...

Review on Morita-san wa Mukuchi

Image
This lovely anime series is basically about a girl named Mayu: a shy and quiet high school student who always takes so long considering what she is going to say and in the end, she ends up saying nothing at all. I mean seriously why do some people tend to do this. Take for instance that there is a certain situation between her and another character and after the other person has spoken, it takes her for a while, the moment is already gone. Morita-san wa Mukuchi is just as amusing and as head-tilting as it is. It may only interest a handful of people considering how some do not find a quite animated series as something so much entertaining. Regardless of how it may sound pointless, it offers what most anime do not have: finding the deeper sense or meaning of each scene. It has its down times, but it definitely offers as much humor as possible. This anime may look boring for some but as you go with the storyline you will eventually understand and still go for another look wi...

Review on Meganebu!

Image
Meganebu is an anime full of colorful things making it to stand out. It is indeed a great anime to watch. The show is about a group of guys wearing glass of course in a glasses club. This club is very passionate about glasses and is awfully striving to create a genuine pair of x-ray glasses. The things they do don’t sound that exciting when described, but the animation style and the timing of everything really makes this show stand out. You guys really have to see this show to fully experience it. The trailer does not do it justice at all. I haven’t seen a show quite like this in a long time. It’s incredibly unique and highly stylized. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much during an anime. I really like all the transitions and visual representations that occur during the show. I’m not really sure where the story is going to go here, but it’s so funny that I don’t really care. People who like glasses and the hilarious antics of those who wear them. This anime s...

Review on Ro-Kyu-Bu!

Image
Ro-Kyu-Bu! is purely an sports anime, but as opposed to male characters as the main ones. This anime is actually has heroines instead. As luck would have it, Hasegawa Subaru finds the Basketball club he joined suspended due to their leader falling for the eleven year old daughter of the coach. His aunt then offers him to coach a Basketball club composed of elementary school girls which he is reluctant to teach at first, but later on grows to even be passionate about it as he devotes his time into teaching them, all the while knowing how the situation is so complex for them. Ro-Kyu-Bu! is composed of such cute, funny and so adorable female leads. Ofcourse as what anime viewers should expect on this kind of anime. Guys may like it for not only the main sports is basketball but also due to the ecchi scenes it brings, but that does not automatically mean that girls cant watch this anime. So I can say every gender must enjoy the show and find yourself laughing along with characters ...

Review on Baccano!

Image
This anime series has its own way of presenting itself to its audience. We were presented with small events such as witnessing the legendary journey of the transcontinental train, Flying Pussyfoot in Chicago, the search for the missing bottles which will be used for the immortal elixir by an ambitious scientist Szilard and his right-hand Ennis in New York, the alchemists who boarded the Advena Avis and knew about the price of gaining immortality and the war which is getting worse between the mafia groups. Though the first episodes may seem blurry for the whole story but still this are the keys in completing the amusing storyline of this series. Baccano! is based on the award winning light novels which bears the same name. This will focus more on the supernatural events from alchemy and any other things, immortality and on how to survive from all of the inter connected events which will happen as one coincide with the other as series goes on. Filled with black graphics ...

Review Nurirahyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou

Image
A bunch of supernatural or demon-themed series has been popping out one after the other since the beginning, and many are so interested with that specific genre since it goes beyond the boundaries or normality, or basically routine. As humans, living everyday without much excitement or chance that in the sense it will get dull, people end up being attracted to these type of titles. Nurrihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou is about a supposed average middle schooler named Nura Rikuo, who is in fact the grandson of the master of a youkai clan. When an enemy of their clan soon shows up, he has no choice but to awaken the demon blood and power hidden in his blood. I like this anime in the sense everything is all about the said genre no associated things just perfect as it is. It is an enjoyable show for those who prefer something that breaks the borders or normalcy. So viewers who like demon-themed anime should definitely watch this. Overall score is 8/10: This anime series is ...

Review on Katanagatari

Image
For me adventure-themed anime is always entertaining but some actions leads to boring episodes and even worse, bad artwork of the characters development. However, in the case of Katanagatari, it has a feeling of drawing the attention of the viewers as if they were playing an RPG game viewing as the third person. The main protagonist is the seventh successor of the Kyoto Ryu, or bladeless, Yasuri Shichika. He's living in a peaceful island with Nanami, his sister. When he was suddenly visited by a mysterious girl named Togame. This fateful encounter soon led to him being asked by the new arrival to help her in locating the final twelve swords that were forged by Shizaki Kiki, the legendary master swordsmith. However, as in most journeys, it is never easy to obtain what one seeks, and is this case, they have to face 12 people who each possess and protect these swords. Katanagatari's graphics may be little bit childish but still its popularity hits most of the anime as...

Since Haru accepted his faith being the new rave master, he will be in a journey with his friends to find the stones and restore peace in the world. This animation is probably one of my favorites when i was still a kid. The adaptation is actually not that suitable for kids, but there are some parts of it that is really interesting for me. ( well i guess when i was a kid i already think like an adult ). This animation started with a bang they manage to throw a very good entrance by giving the audience a good story from the onset...

Petshop of Horrors Review

Image
Petshop of Horrors is an anime adaptation to the horror themed manga made by Matsuri Akino. The story stages at ChinaTown located in Los Angeles California. In this area a very peculiar petshop is found owned by a mysterious individual named Count D. The pets being sold in this petshop are bizarre creature that somewhat similar to humans or a humanoid. Count D  Sells these "pets" along with a contract which usually differ by the type of pet his customer orders. The most important among the 3 points in the contract is to avoid Showing the  "Pet" To someone other than the buyer it self.  The series has a total of 4 episodes. Each episode is a stand alone episode that contains a new story and new pet that was bought. The main characters are the same through out the series but there are new characters added just like the clients. This anime is really short but super interesting. For me i cant really consider this anime as a horror anime since im looking at thi...

Review on Paradise Kiss

Image
This anime directed by Osamu Kobayashi inflicts the drama of first love that wraps in every situations. Yukari is a normal high school student who has typical life of listening to her parents and going to school everyday. One day, she began to question her way of life and then she meets a group of fashion design students who has a clothing called "Paradise Kiss". This group is searching for a model who will proudly present their design in an upcoming fashion show. Yukari was picked to be their model however she does not want to be associated with this group. As the story goes Yukari realized the people in the fashion group are nice and she was inspired with their passion and being enthusiast in fashion and in following their dreams. It made her think that she wasn't enjoying her life so she was motivated to pursue her dream herself. I like the series' story line because it teaches us to become how to pursue our dreams. This anime has contents that gives ...

Review on Magikano

Image
This anime, Magikano, has fascinating and awesome art style that differs it from other magic shows or anime. A witch named Ayumi Mamiya has been cursed to lose her powers, but like every curse there is a way to undo or break such a spell. For this particular predicament, there is but one boy who can break this spell and set her free from the curse cast upon her. This is where Haruo Yoshikawa comes in. He believes he's just an ordinary average guy, not even knowing the existence of magic and that he is actually protected by his three sisters who possess such magnificent powers. When their paths crossed, Ayumi must find a way to awaken Haruo's powers in order to save herself from the curse. Well goodluck for Ayumi. Magikano is produced with moments where the anime is flooded by sweetness and cuteness, but not enough to make one flow from its attempt at romance. Magikano is a fantasy-based series so low expectations should be expected. Still... watch this anime for it...

Review on Happiness!

Image
This anime is a magical, romance-comedy anime mixed with school-life genre which first appeared on October to December 2006. Having rescued and inspired by a boy who uses magic when she was still a child, Kamizaka Haruhi has taken it upon to becoming a mage(girl with magical powers) herself. The best method which can make her dream come true is to enroll in a school which offers courses that she needs anything and everything that is related to magic. Here's the conflict, the school may specialized in educating magic users, but it also accommodates normal students, thus dividing the institution into two general community. Now the main character here meets a bunch of friends and strange students. But along with this Haruhi has got her eye on Kohinata Yuuma, the guy who openly states his hatred for magic. Yuuma seems to resemble Haruhi's memory of the boy who saved her once, but one thing different is Yuuma is unskilled in magics. This anime produced by Artland was s...

Review on Love Love?

Image
This anime does make getting even hilarious. Ikita Mitsuki is the producer of the popular television series for kids is supposedly the only person knows about Ooizumi Naoto's secret occupation as the show's scriptwriter. But when the big rumors somehow gets found out by the show's staff and even the actresses themselves , Naoto's peaceful writing days are sure to be over. Now that the female lead character know who can call the shots, they have quite the number of tricks just so they can get more screen time and better roles. Each girl is outfitted with their own style of seduction(hell yeah) and everyday is a new opportunity for them to get into Naoto's good books. However, when he discovered the conspiracy, he is bound to get even with each one. The only wrong that is stopping him is his own feelings towards one of the female casts. I'm surely sure that this anime will hit the taste of mostly guy anime lovers. They can relate to the main protagon...

Review on Seitokai no Ichizon

Image
Now how about a little bit of harem anime? Hekiyou Gakuen is like any normal school we see in some anime boys and girl in a general education preparing them for the future. The only thing that is not normal in this school is their student council. We all know that the student council are in-charged in events and making the school a well-systematized school right? But in this anime the student council where not chosen by votes like what other school anime have. The student council here are chosen by means of popularity. Due to such system, all members of the council are cute girls except for Ken Sugisaki who is the top-scoring student of his year. It seems the running system is really very suspicious isn't it? Well, the only reason Ken studied so hard and became the top-scoring student is to create is very own harem. The only bad thing is he can never get his harem for he is always get bullied more that he deserves by the other members of the student council. This an...

Review on Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na

Image
This anime series begins with telling a story of a war between the people of Earth and the people of the Moon. After the war, no alliance was formed, no emotion of hatred remained for both sides had a scar that can never be healed and everything was left to be just a memory. Years had passed and the Earth and the Moon's conflict is temporarily at ease. Wanting to know more about the Earth and restore the peaceful relationship of both worlds. Kingdom of Sphere's princess, Feerna Fam Earthlight comes to Earth in a home stayed with Sayaka Hozumi, the primary secretary of the president of United States. I think this anime series is like a little version of Princess Kaguya a japanese tale it's just in more civilized world. There are a lot of funny scenes need to watch in this anime fiction and where you will seriously laugh hard and feel the warm that will touch your heart. Comedy and Romance is focused in this anime Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na. I strongly recommend this...

Image
In an unknown city, organized crime and Orgmen have flooded the land. With nowhere to escape and no one else to go to, a young girl named Mika commits herself to the revival of a great sweeper, Brandon Heat, now obtaining the alias "Beyond the Grave". With the entire city under the hands of Harry MacDowel, Beyond the Grave must put an end to the tyranny of Harry and his Organization. But can Brandon Heat point same gun at the person he once was his bestfriend? This anime is a 26 episode anime with crimes, sci-fi,actions and drama. Well to tell the you the truth just for me the first episode is kinda boring but don't be fooled by it because the other sequence will leave you hanging so catch up on our main character as he venture and deal with his amity. Though there are times where in the pacing of anime is slow and dead silence takes over we were pleased by the progsession of the story line and how you will be able to get to know each character and their r...

Samurai Deeper Kyo Review

Image
Samurai Deeper Kyo is an anime adaptation to the manga created by    Akimine Kamijyo. The Series sets way back the Edo period so more like a history type of animation. Samurai Deeper Kyo revolves around the adventures of a feared samura known as Demon eyes Kyo.  Kyo is on a quest to regain his body after his soul was sealed in the body of his rival,  Mibu Kyoshiro. Kyo travels around the land to find and retrieve his body. Together with his friends they will fight the organization "MIBU" who makes dolls that they control to do battles for their amusement. Samurai Deeper Kyo has a really good plot to start with. During the first parts of the first episode, it managed to get my attention and made me watch more of its episode. Initially, The first episode doesn't contain much of an action for me. What actually took my interest is the way they presented the story. The plot of this anime has its ups and downs. First the plot is really interesting and there are tw...
