Arrietty Review

Arrietty also known as The Borrower Arrietty or The Secret World of Arrietty is a Japanese animated story scripted by Hayao Miyazaki. The Story was derived from the English Children story "The Borrower"  by Mary Norton. The Story follows Arrietty a tiny girl who lives with her family ( Her family is also tiny ). Arrietty and her family secretly lives in the walls and floor of an old household and they live by borrowing things that they will use to survive. Like: Sugar cubes, Tissues, and other things that normal human will not realize if that thing is lost.

The start of the story tells of a boy named Sho who started living in the old house owned by his grandmother. his family was advised to let him breathe fresh air and take him away from the city for the mean time. Sho started to see tiny people running around the house and the yard. Sho then managed to see Arrietty and soon became friends with her. But there are people who wanted to get Arrietty's family to become famous.

Once again this is one of the Masterpieces of Hayao Miyazaki. Although this story is a bit smooth without that much action it didn't fall behind the other works of art that Hayao Miyazaki made. The first time i saw this animation made me think of the English story Thumbelina. I mean the concept of this story with tiny people is just like thumbelina but the story differ greatly. Even if Mr. Miyazaki  based the script from "The Borrower" he will always add his own twist and taste that people come to love. The Background and the drawing isn't that Epic but it really suits the story. The only negative thing I can say about this animation, is that the story is a bit rushed and hanging. You will come to understand why i said so if you watch this.

I will give this an 8/10 I want MORE of this story... that's it
