School Rumble is an anime adaptation to the Japanese shonen manga series written and illustrated by Jin Kobayashi. The series started airing between October 2004 and April 2005. The Story is a slice of life anime where the setting is in Yagami High School and follows the daily lives of the students under class 2-C specially the main protagonist Tenma Tsukamoto. Tenma is an easy go lucky girl who is very childish for her age and often mistaken to being younger than her classmates.. She has a secret admiration to Oji Karasuma, her classmate who have the exact opposite traits than Tenma. On the other hand, Kenji Harima the main male protagonist who is a delinquent also has an admiration to Tenma. So this anime is sort of a Love Triangle. The plot of this series mainly follows Harime and Tenma's Struggle in getting the attention of the ones that they loved.
School Rumble is one of my favorite "Slice of life" animes. ( Not one of my Hall of fame ) This anime is really heart warming and very pleasing to watch. the author really did a great effort building the characters and made them presentable as well. One of the best things i can say about this anime is that, The humor is well delivered and is very timely. As a student this anime gave me a big smile since it literally showed me some of the things i do at school: Fall in love, Make Friends, Do extra school Activities, and many more. I can say that this anime is really loved by both genders since we can feel the same way as how the author gave life to the characters. The story line of this anime is really worth your time since this is clearly made from real experiences from Students all around the world. if you are watching this with out getting the same feels as we do, you probably didn't have a great school life.
I'll give this anime a 9/10 ( Some of the episodes are confusing )
