Kimi ni Todoke is an anime adaptation to the shojo romance manga by Karuho Shiina. The story focuses on the main protagonist Sawako "Sadako" Kuronuma. Sawako is a shy girl who looked as if she is always stressed. She is a very timid girl who is seeking for friendship. Because of her lack of courage he is afraid correcting peoples misconception about her and most of the people he tries to approach gets scared. Because of her attitude he easily admired Shota Kazehaya who is the complete opposite of Sawako. Kazehaya is a very friendly guy who is always smiling and people really admired him. Despite Sawako's timid personality Kazehaya always greet her the same way as he greets his friend. Kazehaya constantly helps Sawako to open up to their classmates and show her true feelings so that they can understand her. and clear every misunderstandings they have. This anime focuses more on the relationship of Kazehaya and Sawako, and the gradual change of sawako to be a beautiful lady.
Kimi No Todoke is one of my hall of fame among the animes in the "Slice of Life" Genre. Watching this anime at first is not that great. My first impression for this anime is that the Drawing, Animation, and the atmosphere is not good. In short i didn't like it. I was about to stop watching the anime but i gave it a second chance. Thanks to my forgiving decision i watched more of the episodes and i saw the light. I appreciated how the story goes without minding the animation at all. If I have stopped watching the anime i would have missed a big chunk of my anime life. YES it is really that good. The story managed to fill the gap the anime has for the drawing. Anime lovers who are shy, misunderstood, and doesn't have too many friends will surely follow this anime. One of the greatest things i can say about this anime is that: it is full of hopes and dreams. Morals and Lessons burst in every episode that makes this anime very special. This anime is written almost to perfection so both genders will definitely love this.
I'll rate this 9.5/10 . This anime has some minor errors but it doesn't really give a big of an impact. For example is that the first Season is a bit hanging.
