The anime adaptation was made possible by Toei animation and started airing  in 2009. The anime adaptation contains Horror/ thriller stories not only about Japanese horror but also horror anthologies from different parts of the world. The first episode starts the adventure when a new transfer student Sho showed up at Yamazakura that made the whole cast complete. together with him are Ako and Reiko and some of their classmates and they will give you the stories that will spook you and stories that will make your imagination run wild.

(This is one of the episodes where in Ako's family was taken by spirits going to the land of the dead)

Kaidan Restaurant is a wonderful anime to watch if you wanted to get out of the usual animes that  we watch. The stories that they portray makes the child in you smile as we remember some of the stories being told by our grandparents or parents. Even if the title makes you think that this is just some spooky horror anime, well you are wrong. Some of the stories makes you cry, laugh, and love. Even though the drawing style is not that great the total package is what makes this anime very rewarding. Plus the speaker is so cool, you will know what i mean once you watch this,

Overall rating is a 9/10
