Kurenai is an anime TV series adapted on a Japanese light novel written and illustrated by Yamamoto Yamato. The anime delivers or shows more dramatic approach that makes the viewers understand it more clearly. The series was aired at April 2008 to June of the same year with 12 episodes.
The main protagonist Shinkuro Kurenai is a 16 year-old mediator. He is good at settling other people's petty things. When he was young, he lost his family in a terrorist attack. And that incident made him strong person, in mind and body. Despite his small body size, he is capable of doing hard work. He's a martial art expert too and living a peaceful life working as a mediator. But his peaceful life turned upside down when he was asked to be a bodyguard of the daughter of a powerful and superb wealth family.
